Leading where asked, advising others.
From our growing list of charity sector clients we are realising that our kind of expertise is not found easily. Our expertise was originally orientated towards the corporate sector, as our principal, Ian Catley supported the clients of one of the UK’s biggest charities, Macmillan Cancer Relief through over 12 years of ever growing successes. We have added Local Appeal and a wide range of disciplines to the available skills.
Here are four current pieces of work:
This International seafaring organisation has rather neglected to search for a new sponsor even though it was under notice that the funds would run out. We have been called in as a sort of rescue organisation, and have formed a consortium at a fixed budget to seek for the ideal partner. We have advised our client that we are seeking a three year commitment for them rather than a quick-fix, and have jointly written a marketing strategy and are acting on it with a view to safeguarding the organisation’s future.
ENVIRONMENTAL FUNDRAISING
Here the cause is again very important but the case for support quite difficult to make. Therefore, our client organisation, having reinvented itself from a charity with similar but now less needed charitable objects requires re-branding to appeal to funding organisations including charitable trusts. We are helping with this, but have the core remit of attracting funds to cover quite major project work, whose benefits will be seen and felt over coming years.
HIGH LEVEL HAND-HOLDING
With this client, one of the UK’s top charities for children and young people, we are contracted to advise and support the Director of Fundraising and his corporate team to target UK FT Top 500 and International companies to develop special relationships leading to substantial support; We are also mentoring and coaching the charity’s key individuals and teams. The charity realised it had been fairly successful, but too often was coming second in big pitches against some other top charities. We have been pulled on board to help to reverse this trend.
MAKE THE DREAM COME TRUE
The trustees of this very small charity have entrusted us with the responsibility to create and operate a local charitable Appeal to raise a substantial sum in a finite period of time. The cause, in the cancer field, is a less recognised one, and we have set out to achieve maximum awareness in order to enable the charity to punch well above its weight. The regional newspaper has become a true partner facilitating coverage which would be unaffordable otherwise. We are managing every aspect of this exciting project.
